Guided Forest Bathing Nature Connection Mindfulness Practice

From the Trail

The Places that Shaped my Practice

The Approach

What makes these retreats different.

These aren't wellness escapes. This is evidence-based mindful nature immersion led by a licensed clinical psychologist with 15 years of clinical experience and 3 years of field study in nature immersion and forest therapy. Every event is tailored specifically to the needs of the group, and incorporates behavioral science, mindful meditation, and the science of Forest Bathing and nature immersion to achieve optimal benefit for the individuals and the group.

01

Clinician-led

Dr. Wilson holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, is an expert in mindful meditation and mindfulness-based therapies, and specializes nature and forest immersion. Retreats are structured to draw intentionally from each of these specialties and practices.

02

Slow by design

This is not hiking, although hiking can be incorporated depending on the group and destination. We typically cover a short distance over the course of a Forest Bathing practice. The pace is intentionally slow and mindful, studying the details of our environment closely, and opening up to the many experiences the forest has to offer.

03

Small groups

Most retreats cap at 20 participants. Enough for a real community, but small enough to ensure an intimate experience, where no one feels alone in a crowd.

04

The forest does the work

My job is to slow things down, help you to awaken your senses, and introduce you to what the forest has to offer. From there, the natural environment will take the wheel - soothing the nervous system, restoring attention and creativity, and offering a nurturing and healing relationship.

Formats

Four ways to step into the forest.

2–4 hours

Half-day Walk

A single guided walk with the full sequence of sensory invitations and a closing tea ceremony. The most accessible entry point.

6–8 hours

Full-day Immersion

A longer arc — seated mindfulness, mindful movement routine, mindful walking, Forest Bathing and nature immersion, a midday meal in the field, solo time, and a group closing circle with tea ceremony. For deeper restoration.

2–3 days

Weekend Retreat

Overnight in a state park, nature retreat location, or river excursion. Guided forest bathing sessions, seated mindfulness exercises, mindful movement, group exercises, solo walks, nutritious meals and snacks for the trail, and in the evenings, gathering around the campfire to share stories, music, and wisdom.
